The OligoScan is a non-invasive, in-office screening test that uses light spectrophotometry to assess intracellular mineral levels, trace elements, and heavy metal burden in the body. Unlike blood tests, which reflect short-term circulating levels, the OligoScan provides insight into tissue-level status, offering a more functional view of nutrient deficiencies and toxic load.

This test helps identify imbalances in key minerals (such as zinc, magnesium, potassium), oxidative stress markers, and potential exposure to heavy metals that may contribute to fatigue, inflammation, digestive issues, hormonal imbalance, neurological symptoms, and impaired detoxification.

Results are available immediately and are reviewed with the provider to create a personalized nutrition, supplementation, and detox support plan.

Functional Medicine Nutritional Therapy

Functional Medicine Nutritional Therapy is a personalized approach designed to restore balance in the body rather than simply labeling or diagnosing disease. The goal is to identify root imbalances and support the body’s natural ability to return to homeostasis and heal.

At our clinic we combine multiple forms of assessment to understand each patient as a whole person. This may include functional lab testing such as blood work, urine analysis, hormone panels, stool testing, and micronutrient evaluation. However, lab results alone never tell the full story. A detailed health history, lifestyle review, medication and supplement evaluation, and discussion of your personal health priorities are essential parts of the assessment.

Once patterns are identified, we create an individualized plan using whole-food based nutrition, targeted supplementation, herbal support, and lifestyle strategies. The purpose is not to override symptoms but to support physiological function so the body can regulate inflammation, metabolism, digestion, hormones, and energy production more effectively.

Functional Medicine Nutritional Therapy focuses on restoring function, improving resilience, and helping the body heal naturally through precise, personalized support — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
